Högabo Photography is about art, fashion, and – above all – passion

Behind the camera is me – photographer Mila Högabo – and my co-photographer and husband Freddi.

Högabo Photography started in 2013 after support from Italian Vogues photo editors and their senior photo editor Alessia Glaviano. In the years to come, we have been invited to Milan several times to exhibit our photos in galleries like Carla Sozzani and Leika Shop.

I photograph models, animals, children, people, and everything that draws my attention and inspires me.
But most of all I photograph in water and underwater.

Before I started to photograph, I was afraid of deep water – and being under the surface (after nearly drowning twice as a child) – but I challenged my fear to get the photos I knew I was down there.
Today being in the water with my camera is a life pulse for me.

For me, photographing has been just that – challenging my fears and working through them. It is in that process I find my special way. That is where the magic and the beauty lie.

That is how I am creating light out of darkness.
